I'm definitely going bard, but I don't rly know the pros and cons between bard and sorc.......

can anyone explain?

u kinda should have askd me X_X

bard - heal, lots of buffs, can survive longer, evil sound inf combo, wanted for bossing parties, less hp pots needed (save more $), tier 2 ice skills r godly

sorc - more dmg later on (like 8k @ 13x), more builds to choose from, better in pure offence

so how much dmg do bards tend to do?

Depends on your equips xD (Stone + Guitar)
Using Evil Sound on monsters a bit higher then my level, I do around 6xx-9xx damage (hitting 4-6 things at a time) Since I can still kb most of the time I find it's decent enough xP When I'm hitting only 1 or 2 things I can do 11xx-13xx damage on something around my level (I think. These are rough estimations since I don't pay too much attention to my average damage)

Healing is very useful. Especially when you have huge mobs or when your party is about to die.
For the most part, you won't have trouble getting a party for bosses.


In a way healing + buffs are also bad because you become a slave sometimes.....like me.

Sorcerers can float when they have an orb 8D /shot
(I really find that fun looking though <3)
Their damage is better and they can use a dagger and shield if they want more defense.
A lot of sorcs have this issue with staying with one element though. I swear I know some that change elements every day or week. Huge waste of money.
"Wind / Water is too weak! D< *switches to fire or earth*
Fire / Earth cools down too slowly e.e *switches to wind /water*"
And so the cycle goes on and on. (I'm being serious. My friend does that. And also some of my friends' friends that are sorcs x_x)


In truth, it depends on you about what you should become. I know people who wish they could have become a bard instead of a sorc and vise-versa. Choose wisely~
